Tap-Out Blocks
Tap-out blocks are ideal for use below the metal melt line. They allow you to remove the metal in its molten state, moving it to a different area, whether a ladle, crucible, a launder system, or holding furnace.
Burner Blocks
Most aluminum melting furnaces are shaped like a large box with a ramp. On the sides and top of the furnace are 2-4 burners. Burner blocks resist the high temperatures, creating structure inside the furnace.
Dry Vibration Material
Dry vibration materials are similar to cement castables but are created without water. These are often used within the steel industry. Other refractory cement castable materials we offer are application specific and customized to your project.
Patching Materials
Patching materials and mortar are created to patch specific cement castables. We can custom-mix and create materials to patch and repair furnace walls, brick, and other components. We offer a wide variety of chemical compositions, as needed, for an array of refractory applications.

What Makes Refractory Cement Castables Different
Refractory cement castables are primarily made up of Portland cement—a balance of alumina, silica, iron oxide, lime, and a small percentage of other heat-resistant materials. The ratio may vary based on the application’s needs, but the materials are especially suited for high-heat environments. Cement castables are built to withstand the temperatures in kilns and heat treat furnaces.
We have standard shapes for tap-out blocks. We carry all standard aluminum refractory and processing shapes, ideal for melting and holding furnaces. We carry a variety of burner block shapes for different burners and outputs, including standard cone-shaped burner blocks.
In addition to precast and standard refractory cement castables, we also offer customization. We can supply castables for many different purposes, including rotary kilns, aluminum furnaces, iron ladles, and more.
