We Serve the Investment Casting Industry

Whether you have a small art facility or a highly automated commercial plant, Refractory Service, Inc. can help with all your investment casting needs.

One of the oldest forms of casting, investment casting creates precision results time after time, using a wide range of metals and alloys. The lost-wax process in the investment casting industry requires the highest integrity materials. Our Shell Pro fused silica is high purity and specifically sized for the investment casting market. We're incredibly familiar with closed-induction furnaces and dry vibratable refractory linings.

Our team is well-versed in all investment casting ovens, including the maintenance and relining process.

We work with various furnaces, including holding furnaces, melting furnaces, tunnel, box, roller hearth furnaces, and more for the investment casting industry. We have plastics and castables for ladles along with any other refractory supplies needed like ceramic fiber blanket. We also offer our Core Pro Vitreous Silica that can be used as a backup for silica shells and can be made to spec. Like fused silica, this lower-cost alternative can save you money during the casting process.

We understand that when you're reliant on investment cast products, precision is crucial from the moment the product is poured to going in the heat-treat furnace. Our team knows the investment casting process, including more modern techniques such as induction and electric resistance melting. We serve customers in the aerospace, armaments, food industry, and automotive industries, where accuracy is crucial and downtime is costly.

Because we’re well-vested in all aspects of investment casting, we can help with any refractory concerns or casting dilemmas. We will ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible from the melt shop to preheating, oven work, dewaxing, and pours.

At Refractory Services, Inc., we carry ceramic fiber blankets, plastics, castable, brick, tile, linings, shell materials, and any other product you may need. Our complete line of refractory materials will keep you supplied for every step of the investment casting process.

Our construction services team is able to service and rebuild any furnaces in your plant. RSI can even custom build a new furnace or modify an existing furnace to meet your changing needs. We here to assist during scheduled maintenance and downtime along with urgent and emergency situations, like uneven tiles.

For all of your investment casting needs, you can rely on RSI.
